Lize-Marie Naude – An All Around Performer

Lize-Mariè first entered the Arts and Entertainment industry during her matric year (2014) by entering the ANUA Rising Stars Talent Showcase and was discovered by the Showcase Directors. Even though she had shown great potential, she unfortunately didn’t pass through the final stages. This then motivated her to further her education and growth as an artist. 

Timeline – Musical Experience

2015 – 2017:  She went on to study Musical Theatre at Tshwane University of Technology, and absolutely fell in love with the idea of being a triple threat. This influenced her to pursue further training in Vocals, Acting at ANUA School of Music & Performing Arts and also studied different forms of Dance namely Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary. This led to Lize-Mariè receiving international accreditation and qualifications through Trinity College of Music (London) in Musical Theatre, Music Theory, Guitar, Piano and Vocals. She was portrayed the Role of Matilda in a Production written by 3rd year Musical Theatre and Dance Students titled, “Misfits According to Who?”. 

2016: Joined the Amateur Theatre group ‘Startime Players” and portrayed the role of Sheriff Blaine in an original artwork titled, “Western Woes”. She then re-entered the ANUA Rising Stars Talent Showcase and won the Overall Winner Award. Lize-Mariè also had a supporting role in “Binnelanders”. twice and a lead role too as “Sasha Lewis” in the same series.

2017: Continuing to build her career Lize-Mariè then played a Lead Role in the Musical “Hairspray” as ‘Velma von Tussle’ with Startime Players.  Whilst attending the ARTS Convention in the USA , she had the opportunity to meet International Agents and talent scouts in both New York and Florida and this remains on-going work and relationship building. 


2018 : Lize-Mariè has since joined the ANUA School of Music & Performing Arts as a performing arts coach and is enjoying sharing her knowledge and passion with her students and is working to build them up so they too can enter the industry and find success. Lize-Mariè is currently working on her first vocal album and is learning to play both drums and violin and is developing her career not only as a musician but as a performing artist with her interest being mainly in Musical Theatre, which she says is “hugely expressive” for her.
